From Logs to Bowls!

Only logs of Aspen, Poplar or Beech are used in making these beautiful handcrafted solid wood bowls.  The logs come from trees that are grown in sandy soil on high ground to prevent the heart of the tree from turning brown.  Each piece is skillfully turned right here in Michigan with great pride and care. 

Our customers love these bowls for many different purposes; decorative painting, Tole painting, wood burning, or for food (must prepare them first with an oil or salad bowl finish - we recommend only using first quality when used for food).  We've also had customer's who use the larger bowls in their spas for soaking feet before pedicures.  The new Wedge Bowls are a New favorite....use for fruit, floral arrangements, potpourri, decorative candle holders, or just paint for a unique decorative piece.

Caring for these bowls is simple, however we do not recommend putting them in the dishwasher, just use water and a small amount of soap, rinse and then immediately hand dry.

We offer these bowls in 6 inch to 17 inches and from 1st quality to 3rd quality.  The Second quality bowls have rims that vary slightly in thickness or are more out of round than the first quality bowls. They may also rarely have a small filled area or very small tight knot (the size of a pencil eraser). - The Second Special quality have rims that vary in thickness or are more out of round than the second quality bowls with occasional flat spots on the outside of the bowl. They may also have a some filled area or tight knots. - And the Third quality have rims that vary in thickness or are more out of round than the second special quality bowls and may have some flat spots on the outside. They may also have a tight knots and small holes, which are not filled.
